those of you who read our recent post about aulric and arabella’s birthday probably detected a note of envy with regards to a) the twins’ amazing birthday cake and b) the bubble train aulric received. (we couldn’t envy arabella’s musical jewellery box seeing as we have, er, one or two of our own already.)
apparently philip, the twins’ amazing grandfather, must have picked up on our not-as-subtle-as-we-thought hinting because two days ago cathie found a rather large cardboard box awaiting her on the little brown house doorstep.
she saw philip’s name as the sender.
she asked herself ‘what could such a big box contain?’
she hoped to herself that arabella’s ballerina hadn’t met some untimely and rather sudden end at the hands of a certain little brother.
slowly, understanding began to dawn on her.
could it be …
oh no, dear readers. by now you have probably guessed what it was …
A BUBBLE TRAIN OF OUR VERY OWN!
what joy, what squealing, what ripping of paper and jumping about ensued!
we have got some serious playing to do.
