a couple of days ago, some christchurch kids now going to school at wanaka primary bypassed the little brown house on an ‘amazing race’ they were doing.
and, boy, were they glad they did when they found out they were eligible for free hildegard intelligence cookies (which we’ve been giving to cantabrians since the christchurch quake in february — everyone loves free cookies).
one little boy was SO chuffed with his hildie, he told radio wanaka when he was being interviewed about the quake and being in wanaka that the biscuits were the best bit. ‘those biscuits,’ he said. ‘I still can’t figure out the spice — was it ginger? they were amazing!’ too cute! we’re very flattered.
and, the cookie story continues: we also received the following art letters from ‘the 7chch kids’ (that’s how they signed their card!):
‘dear little brown house,
thank you so much for letting us come in last friday on our way down to the a&p show. those biscuits were awesome, it really made our day. when we go back to Christchurch we will definitely visit your website.
from thomas, caitie, angus, monteal, tom, jake, jordan, lulu, phoebe, flynn, melissa, rose and paddy’
we knew cookies = love but we weren’t expecting this much of it! we’re well chuffed with our haul too.
