some thoughts on luxury from diane …
luxury means something different to everyone. it can be associated with fancy diamonds, flying first class, gold-plated walls, but that pertains to a small percentage of the world. for those of us that don’t have a bagillion dollars, we have to pick and choose our luxuries – like having a fabulous tote bag!
i fell in love with the papaya luxury bags immediately; my only problem was trying to pick just one. my current purse situation – not so luxurious.
the luxe totes on the other hand are full of luxury – they’re made of highly durable oil cloth material, sturdy hard-wearing details, hidden magnetic snap closure, structured bottom panel and colourful interior linings that are wipeable and water resistant. they even have a cell phone compartment, a zipper pouch and two additional slip pockets (as you can see in the photos below).
i enjoy the luxury of being able to fit my life into a bag that i can carry anywhere, for any occasion, that always goes with any outfit. it’s especially luxurious for a clutz like me who is always spilling something on my favourite things!
some luxuries are superfluous; i mean who really needs gold-plated walls? other luxuries are more like investments. i had my last, not-so-luxurious bag, for almost five years. i can only imagine how long this luxury bag will last. maybe one day my daughter (currently non-existent) will get to carry it to school because by that time it will be vintage.
every once and a while you should reward yourself for working hard and being awesome. you can’t always indulge in every luxury, making it all the more special when you do. and this bag isn’t just a one-time luxurious purchase, it offers a daily dose of luxury.
